Poem
Merciful and wise, filled with light My heavenly Father shines down Coloring my soul in hues of compassion A gentle flow of hope and faith Inspiration that hallows my world Tender and enlightened, His grace Sheds light on my imagination, my praise Glorifying His name, His way, His Son With music and song, a dance of joy Alive with roses and birds, butterflies Wings of serenity, serving the earth Like the moon and stars and sun as they Rise, shimmer and stun our dreams Into living out a feeling, a belief, a need Swaying every thought, inspiring peace His love is like the purity of a soul freed By the One who left paradise to deliver Our souls from sin that held them captive Generous and gracious, His wisdom brings me Unadulterated courage, strength and ambition A second chance, a way to reach beyond faults Into the penetrating warmth of a gentle thought A heart and soul both authentic and trustworthy Dancing with kindness, liveliness, vibrancy A feeling, a sparkle, a energy – resilient Spiritually wise and willing to give to me The proof that God is good and He is just He gives sincerity and serenity and sensitivity He fills the heart and soul with charity A giving spirit of love, laughter – light That brightens every thought and enlightens Every hope… shimmering with insight Unraveling every mystery and awakening A understanding of His inspirations His wisdom, joy, imagination – His way Of freeing the soul from hatred and blame Leaving only a trace of His elation to say He has given the soul a new way, a new day Breathed light into the darkness of worry Blocked the obscurity that comes from pain Birthed a love that is greater than fear A love that is more alive than any dream Alive, more brilliant than any sun He only desires to free us from The one who longs to destroy our soul Leave us depleted, dead and alone Without reason, hopeless and mournful Filled with death and disillusionment He frees our weary souls from this darkness This fiend who reeks of destruction, despair And reminds us why we should always be thankful For the grace that gives our souls a way To know the wonder of peace and praise With faith to pray for the promise of love That will cover every sin with His blood And assure the soul that God above Erases all doubt with assurance that He is The satisfaction and salvation that comes From trusting in His One and Only Son!
