Inspired by Love in the Dark by Adele and Oh My God by Adele as well :) I don’t trust anyone anymore… Don’t care to love you to the core… Why give in to your charms? Why decide to be in your arms? I can care less…you left me sore Spent time together, not anymore If you would be so kind, Don’t stare into my eyes of flaws For I’m no fool left behind Your love for me is a lost cause I know your mind And it’s cruel to the touch I was oh so blind Sorry I loved you so much I am too ashamed and insignificant To look you in the eyes Cuz you are so cruel and arrogant With your envious lies I heard it through the grapevines The grapevines of disgrace… Right in front of our face Is life’s tribulant race So, keep pace… I know who you slept with Won’t like you as much as I did I also know it’s not a myth We were only a goodbye to bid You gave me bad love, can’t deny Never come back, baby, don’t you cry If you would be so kind, Don’t stare into my eyes of flaws For I’m no fool left behind Your love for me is a lost cause I know your mind And it’s cruel to the touch I was oh so blind Sorry I loved you so much I am too ashamed and insignificant To look you in the eyes Cuz you are so cruel and arrogant With your envious lies I heard it through the grapevines The grapevines of disgrace… Right in front of our face Is life’s tribulant race So, keep pace… Too ashamed to look you in the eyes I won’t ever fall for your prideful lies After you said it, it left me out of the blue Far too ashamed of losing the true you Over the grapevines of disgrace In your heart, I was without a trace If you would be so kind, Don’t stare into my eyes of flaws For I’m no fool left behind Your love for me is a lost cause I know your mind And it’s cruel to the touch I was oh so blind Sorry I loved you so much I am too ashamed and insignificant To look you in the eyes Cuz you are so cruel and arrogant With your envious lies I heard it through the grapevines The grapevines of disgrace… Right in front of our face Is life’s tribulant race So, keep pace… I was to blame for words I cannot undo Like the knotted lace of your shoes I am a red rose on your front porch too As we bid our bittersweet adieus And fell into the grapevines of disgrace In your heart, I was without a trace Torn apart cuz I was never in the race Of your heartbeats beating… You goodbyed my greeting… Now, I have to endure life’s beating
