Poem
21. I care not a fat hairy fig For your task to decimate And predicate my world With such villainy and hate. You evaporate the sunshine. You bring nigh the distant gloom. Like a pestiferous browsing parasite Intent on some impending doom. Crawl! Crawl away from sight... I reject all you say and do. Find Another to parlay your malcontent... I have no room for you. The End 22. Pillowing the plump excess of youth... I brook no challenge to my crown. Travelling light with passion's frailties With no particulars to weigh me down. Drowsed in sheer ignorance and hubris... I dismiss the ripeness of your core. I weave a web of specious countenance To embrace all you might deplore. The future be mine to pester and oppress And make bold I might endeavor... With a knowledge born of eyes wide shut To eschew the grave forever. I will roust the tallest mountains. I will subdue the deepest sea. I will mark my spot against any tempest That dares to hinder me. I cannot wait until tomorrow And do all that I have said. So I slept with knavish expectations But in the morning woke up dead. The End 23. Love is slaked with venom Strewing mortals in its wake. Lighting fires of tenebrous desires As mountains groan and quake. But the road is freely traveled Despite the thunder and the rain And with no previous achievements... I will seek to love again. The End 24. Are you silly? Just a little bit To mitigate the severity of life. Do you mock both form and function To negate some future strife? Do you laugh when others scowl And in laughter start to cry? Do you chuckle as the winds of fate Cause a well-laid plan to go awry? Do you temper all misgivings To stretch the nature of your soul. Do you frolic with the ferryman Knowing all must pay his toll? You now grasp the Human spirit... Embracing its oddities and quirks. But if you exist both drab and muted... You should find some other work. The End 25. Freedom is a curious thing To treat with disrespect. To grind into a nothingness And so perish from neglect. But Nature abhors a vacuum... So the dregs will have their day. If I submit to their ambitions... Freedom slips away. The End *Follow my cartoon at Webtoon Bob's Your Uncle.
