Poem
'Twas the night before Christmas, all children were in bed Elves were loading the sleigh, for Santa's big night ahead A heavy fall of fresh snow had now covered the ground The whole world was hushed, there wasn't a sound. Santa went over to the stables to round up the reindeer Had some juicy carrots in a bag, to bring them some cheer He opened the door and all he could hear was atchoo The reindeers were sneezing with dreaded reindeer flu. Santa was saddened to see that all of them were sick The realisation that they couldn't work, hit him like a brick He called the vet and then President Biden, of the USA And explained that he had no reindeer to pull the sleigh. They'd been at college together many years ago The White House was always the first place, Santa would go President Biden assured Santa that help was on the way And no expense would be spared to save Christmas day. Within minutes an army chinook was soon on its way And brought with it a tow chain to pull the sleigh Mrs Claus and the elves came out, to wave them goodbye The chain was secured and they took off to the sky. The president called in experts from all branches of the military And they all worked together, behind the scenes tirelessly Air force bases were put on full alert, to have fuel ready on hand Air traffic control kept the sky clear so that the chinook could land. World leaders were contacted to allow unrestricted airspace Not one country objected or they'd have been in disgrace Every child the world over would find presents under the tree Thanks to Santa, President Biden and the US military. It was now seven in the morning and they were nearly done Santa dropped off his last present and up rose the sun Then they headed for the pole, Santa and the aircrew Mrs Claus was there to greet them and had ready a brew. The vet was still there and had treated all the sick reindeer Told Santa they were improving who said "tis great news to hear" He then phoned the president to thank him for his support And that without his assistance he would have had to abort. All over the world kids faces would be a total joy to see To wake up Christmas morning and find presents under the tree Its now been written into the constitution and is known as plan C Thats if Santa ever needs help, they'll send in the military. President Biden was curious to find out how things had gone And invited Santa and Mrs Claus for dinner, sending airforce one They arrived at The White House and were given a rapturous cheer Santa wished everyone a merry Christmas, and a happy new year.
