"Through the Vicious Eyes of Love" All is fair in love and war or so they say; why so as saints, mothers go through the course of whore to feel torn in two journeying through gates that open unleashed pain - then, at the end of the day, before dreams, we pray in shades of violetting blues that such a dream arrives heralded as mortal born in sin in pristine royal halls or blood soaked floors flooding dirty family wars become alien and foreign, the child is taken in by the accolades of what is delivered through the paged reams of history written by man, once more - could not ever be clearly viewed through the muddled mind’s vicious hungry eyes of Love blessed as we all are to see the lovely April of thy primes in thy mirrors for what appears, forever - is just a short time, a prelude reflecting souls expenditures prophets and their losses joy and sorrow day and night early, late annointing futures dark, light we are somehow easily forgot by the sons of Adam by the daughters of Eve pursuing hushed secrets buried beneath the skirts of altars dressed by men, with their fanciful dreams, their prophecies their promises hard driven pulpits high these men ne’er so easily forgot blinded by readings and lessons, missed - life rouged and painted over through the vicious eyes of love forgetting eternally Woman is true God (LadyLabyrinth / 2021) gvlm “Whispers”/Halsey https://youtu.be/dK3OJ1grBg4 SONNET III "Look in thy glass and tell the face thou viewest, Now is the time that face should form another, Whose fresh repair if now thou not renewest, Thou dost beguile the world, unbless some mother. For where is she so fair whose uneared womb Disdains the tillage of thy husbandry? Or who is he so fond will be the tomb Of his self-love, to stop posterity? Thou art thy mother’s glass, and she in thee Calls back the lovely April of her prime; So thou through windows of thine age shalt see, Despite of wrinkles, this thy golden time. But if thou live rememb’red not to be, Die single, and thine image dies with thee." “Her Kind”/Anne Sexton https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/42560/her-kind Lyrics/”Whispers”, Halsey https://stylecaster.com/whisper-halsey-lyrics/
