Poem
Just recently was the commemoration of my ministry-engagement anniversary making me reminisce that significant moment when I was confronted vis-à-vis my tenacious opinion on spiritual matters --- Oh, my personal predicament regarding the sublimely divine was put into the crucible~~~ An encounter that has become a milestone in my faith venture… Bible study for the first time Awakened my soul with blest chime Expounding the Lord’s love, sublime. “Come to our Bible study.” Such invitation I declined so many times. “I’m busy; I don’t need it; I’m good with my religious status…” With these reasons, I thought my heart was settled. Yet, I was all the more challenged when the response I would receive from my justification-litany was: “We are praying for you to attend.” Bible study I once defied By God’s prodding, I then complied Leading me to His gracious side. “This Bible study aims to expose you to God according to His Book’s testimonies, precepts, and statutes, as well as to His grace, mercy, and compassion.” I felt so uneasy at first since I found myself negating and contradicting the assertions of the Bible teacher. However, I could not resist the power of the Holy Spirit, convicting me of my sins, converting my soul, directing me to trust Christ – the Saviour toward eternal life from iniquities’ condemnation. Bible study that hailed God’s name Expressing love His truths proclaim Granting pardon’s peace I did claim. “I invite you to our Bible study.” I now say with my reaching-out pursuits anticipating varied answers: affirmative or negative some with skepticism, doubt, mockery and unbelief, marked by “Sorry, I can’t because…” yet... praying fervently for genuine replies. Bible study* midst worship bliss Fellowship with GOD, Brod and Sis Partnership I don’t want to miss. Learning from realities of “difference-in-opinion” especially on religious or spiritual aspirations I can say that genuine respect must reign since one’s personal relationship with GOD is what matters most... and that's the best venture that changed my past for my everlasting triumph, marked by daily victory! *2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
