A LETTER TO ‘FUTURE ME’

              Dear ‘Future Me’
                                       
                              What should I suggest for thee!
                                You know, ‘Future is not to see.’
                                  Now in last phase, only to gaze,
                             ‘How far is the end of my path on Earth!’
    
                Since long you are dealing with life
                   now to get prepared to listen to last bell
                     with no idea of types of ' After Life'.
                    Does Soul exist or a wishful idea of human just to satisfy self.
                             
                           Basically none wants to lose Identity.  
                           Body to perish after demise.
                            Brain being an organ stops functioning.
                           Thought processes wiped off! Oblivious.

                            If so-called 'Soul' 
                             or your consciousness
                             be really immortal identifying yourself,
                             that will be your ultimate solace.
                            Belief of immortal soul of mortal body
                                can give you best relief.

                           Long Past to memorize.
                         Short Future to vaporize
                              on slow evaporation.
                   Addressing you, mostly confused,
                                  little bit amused
                   to remind you that your time is up.
                            
                           Yet I’m daring to instruct,
                     Even all around weakness and incapability
                                         . to obstruct.
                          
                      Now, activities dull and useless time runs parallel.
                                Yet in front to confront
                  pandemic hazards, wizard happenstance.
                         Old age problems along with compulsive physical limitations.
                          Inevitable restrictions on usual habits of youth.
                           though unable to overcome those.
                             Life is not a bed of rose.

                  My advice not to lose strength and confidence
                                      though once in excellence,
                              now in senile decay.
                   You have enjoyed your life, completed duties,
                             built up successful family.
                              Now be ready to leave happily.

                             Not to lament, not to regret but to accept
                               Old age as beverage.
                                A sweet dish to relish.
                   Pray for prosperity of children and grandchildren
                                       they deserve and enjoy their achievements.

                                           Leave blessings and inspiration
                                              to next generation.
                                         What next! Wishing you best.
                                       Be in peace and rest
                                         for the rest of your life.

             Accept the concept of immortality of 'Soul'
               Feel free frolic to discard old disabled body.
                   Have faith on reincarnation.
                        You will reborn to fulfill dormant desires.

                             Earth or any other habitat planet
                           May be in other stellar system
         will again welcome you with your new dreams.
        Will it be choice of your soul or you are destined?
                     My instrospection can't predict.
                 What will be, will be : Future is not to see.
