Poem
I hope you’re still in love With your life, your joy, so much more I hope you’re still delighted With the stars, the moon, even silence I hope you’re still excited With new ideas, dreams and beliefs I hope you’re still trying With all your heart, your soul, your spirit I hope you’re still amazed By the night, the light, nature’s dance I hope you’re still enlightened By the dewdrops and the rain falling I hope you’re still so thankful For music, poetry and the promise of peace I hope you’re still so grateful For the whisper of smiles and inspirations I hope you’re still living on a prayer Feeling all the blessings that come down I hope you’re still sure that God is there Giving you second chances, unconditional love I hope you’re still sure of heaven and grace Feeling the warmth of tender faith I hope you’re still alive on the inside Where only you and God can truly see you I hope you’re still waking up with the dawn Preparing to give from your heart I hope you’re still wondering about love And giving all you have in your soul I hope you’re still creative and caring Filled with praise for our Creator I hope you’re still sincere and sharing All your heart and soul, your spirit’s wish I hope you’re still honest and true Filled with sincerity and trust I hope you’re still dancing with the moon And breathing poetry from your soul I hope you’re still laughing and enjoying All the feelings God has inspired I hope you’re still sure of His presence Strengthening and guiding in the best direction I hope you’re still the one who overcomes With a heart full of faith I hope you’re still the answer to someone’s prayer With the gift of sincere sharing I hope you’re still the courage in the dream Filled with assurance that you will win I hope you’re still growing in your faith Knowing that His will sparks your satisfaction I hope you’re still alive and doing well But most of all, I hope you’re joyful within Where only God can see and you can know That there is a song to sing, a dance to waltz And the music of your soul is forever known As the silent thought of a grateful heart I hope, my future self… that you will always know You’re worth the time I’ve spent helping you to grow Letter to your future self poetry contest Sponsored by Silent One September 19, 2021
