I’ll gladly help you on a trip to space,
I’ll make your rocket with some parts I’ve found,
Re-cycled bottles and an old suitcase,
Securely tied together all around.

A special suit for you, we’ll kit you out,
In anorak and my old gardening mitts,
Bike helmet from my shed, I’ll look it out,
Remove the mouse nest and the other bits.

You’ll need a rocket motor, one that flames,
I have the very thing: some kerosene,
Mixed in with liquid for removing stains,
Should burn quite well – but you don’t look so keen?

You’re having doubts? Relax and be a man,
If there’s a problem why not let me know?
Share all your troubles with me while you can,
But later on you’ll have no radio.

We have try to save some weight, you see,
I’ve drilled some holes to shed some excess mass,
And you’ve been on a diet, luckily,
Which means the ship can carry extra gas.

I’m here to help you journey to the stars,
We’ll launch you into space and break the rules,
Next week you’ll fly past Jupiter and Mars,
No orbiting for you, that’s just for fools,

You’re safe with me, there’s nothing you will lack,
One other thing – you won’t be coming back!
