In a seasonal sense,                                                                                                                                                        You always come to my defense                                                                                                                                                            I see you as a date with destiny, and                                                                                                                                  I'm overwhelmed by your generosity                                                                                                                     And I don't feel alone, when I know                                                                                                                                You are here and there to atone.                                                                                                                                                                                                       

You are the salt for the preserving                                                                                                                               You are the rain, giving life to the dying                                                                                                                                           Like a glove, you catch my tears when I'm sighing

Were it not for the anticipation of you;                                                                                                                             If I never knew that there was someone like you;                                                                                                      If you were not there to welcome and rescue me;                                                                                                           If there were no you, I'd be melting in a desert daze                                                                                      Because of you, I understand the meaning of 'amaze' 
                                                                                                                                                                                                     

If I never realized that you were in the very next chapter,                                                                                    Aimlessness would embrace me, and I'd have no reason                                                                                         To be hopeful, to be patient, or even to turn the page
It is you who shout out 'reprieve' to a world of toxic haze                                                                                                If all the world was a stage, but you were not on it,                                                                                                           I don't know how I would go on from season to season.                                                                                                  Like the words of a song, "Anticipation is making me wait".
