Poem
There she stood an old violin She had no string and no bow Who would want such an old violin Is what everyone wanted to know She stood alone and forgotten An instrument no one wanted to play Until the Master Musician walked in And carried her away With lots of love and care He sat And glued her pieces together A coat of vanish, new pegs and strings And she was ready for someone to play her And when upon these new strings The Master placed His bow Such sweet music filled the air That the angels’ tears began to flow He played on her a sweet melody A song from heaven above That told all about the Master His mercy, care, and love No one could believe their eyes When they saw what the Master had done The old violin was once new again And shining like the sun Sure there were still some little cracks A testimony of what she’d been through But the Master had made her whole again And she looked almost brand new. The Master placed her in a new case and said “I have a musician just for you” And though He’s given her to no one yet The Master’s words are always true When people see her, they stop and stare They can’t believe the transformation “ This brand new violin” they say “Looks nothing like the old one” “She can’t be fixed” was what the said About the old violin But miracles do happen When the Master Musician walks in And when He plays a tune on her The whole world strands in awe Fixed by the hands of the Master Her music is sweeter than ever So there she stands, once an old violin Shining with the glory of the Master No instrument is too broken To be fixed and played By the Master Musician
