Afghanistan 911 Emergency By Franklin Price 09/08/2021 Nine-eleven, two thousand one, the world we knew was changed. We were attacked by terrorists, our lives were rearranged. We went to war with Saddam Hussein. He was the leader of Iraq. The terrorists were not from there, needed a country to attack. Sources said, it's not this country and Saddam is not your man. If you want to find some justice, bin Laden's in Afghanistan. It won't be hard to find him and we'll get his cronies too. The Russians not successful. We will show them what to do. We sent our Special Forces, Black Ops, Seal Teams, many more And with our airplanes overhead, we thought we'd settle up the score Our military is the best, from the good old USA. Our intelligence, in question, when we went there on that day. Did not go to change a country, that was in medieval days. Only went to wipe out terrorists, help the world in many ways That was twenty years ago, and much to our chagrin It now is ten years after our Seals killed Osama bin The Taliban still going strong, without him as their head. That's who we have been fighting. Have we made our faces red? Last month we left Afghanistan, has changed a lot, I think you'll find The Taliban are now in charge. We left our uniforms behind. The Taliban are wearing them. They use our weapons too Complain of disabled 'choppers, that we left when we were through. Have now become the government, will be no vote, they said. Soon they'll round up all who helped us, and will beat them 'til they're dead. For women under thirty, who have grown up as the west, The Taliban will find them and will put them to the test. If they don't bow and grovel, discontinue rants and raves, A generation will be lost, run out, or in their graves. Biden thinks he put an end to, this horrendous interlude. The way he did it, not planned well, non thinking and quite crude. Deserted those who helped us, left Americans behind. Worse off now, than were before, doesn't think the people mind. Biden is the president; there were three of them before, Bush, Obama, Trump preceded him, each could have changed the score Instead they all prolonged it, and twenty years have gone by. The terrorists still not contained, they're a sharp stick in the eye. Now we've gone and left the Taliban, our enemy, in place. To do what they will want to, in that God forsaken place We will watch o'er the horizon with our drones and satellites. Forget about our partners who were there for all the fights. The ones who tried to change that place, although was not the plan. They now are fending for themselves, every woman, every man. Every day they're facing terrorists that could be coming to our shore Better there, than in the USA, that's what the twenty years were for.
