Powerless
Lightning cut the power off four times this week
 As sultry summer storms pass overhead
 By candlelight, I write a letter to my sweetheart
 Without him, I feel powerless

Light is natural there’s power in and from it. There’s also power in the storms natural
Though granted power to co-create candles from wax and wicks. The power to co create is allowed by God through blessings granted and also through punishments (Sin nature) There’s no power in the dark only in the light.

truth locked inside his heart’s vault.
 Is it fear of ridicule? 
How did he get here?
 Why is it he dons a mask
 before he’ll share true feelings?
