Poem
In the blackness of night, stars of wonder, so gloriously bright; With our God-given eyes, terrestrial wonders for us to see. With these words, may there be a most vivid portrait of: A beautiful universe whose vastness is beyond description; A galaxy sandwiched between yesterday and tomorrow; A solar system engineered no less by intelligent design. A planet placed in space so uniquely situated for purpose; A planet both orbiting and revolving, spinning on its axis; A planet filled with water, oxygen, people and wildlife, continents, seas, oceans, mountains, caves, and canyons, hills and valleys, lakes and rivers, creeks and water falls. A planet of many sovereign nations, some dating from BC Era and populated with people of many persuasions and cultures. AND HERE SIT I in a land, a country of civility and laws, policies and purpose. And HERE I SIT, walk, and stand among a myriad of colors and shades of grey, which often cause dismay, but whose ideals are golden, wrapped in silver on precious stones whose strength has long been known to draw like magnets, strangers in search of home. AND HERE I AM, seeded and planted, well-watered, and like an oak standing solid and strong. And HERE AM I, refusing to be or even feel left alone, but with joy, spreading my wings like an eagle and soaring with the wind, not allowing my past to wear me thin nor burden me with "remember whens". Look at you, LOOK AT ME; look at them; seem less than a speck in God's vast domain, and in the grand scene of things, unable to be seen with microscope, and often overlooked by many near and far within clear sight of us. But none need have a fit or make a fuss, because there is one who loves us beyond imagination and never ceases seeing us. It's true I tell you, and so believable and conceivable. You and I have a personal stake, a designed purpose in this great big universe. I tell you, when I pause and observe all that connects and surrounds me, I cannot deny that it's so much bigger than me, so beyond me. I consider the largesse of our majestic creator, and in the mix, THERE IS ME. If never discovered or found by others, or go endless years unnoticed, I am soothed and solaced when I realize that I have found and discovered the meaning of me. 'To fit in', often a beginner's quest, a noble one no less, and one achievable by simply doing your best to be your very best. And as I peruse all the above, in between and all around, THERE IS ME, right at home under my giant canopy. I am me, so uniquely me, and no one can substitute or be me better than me. The presence of it all causes me pause as I behold the wonder of it all. I feel brave, valued, and tall as I behold the value of the universe and everything out there. Value our Awesome, Holy, Loving, and Magnanimous God. Value your family and every living creature; but forget not to value you. 082521PSCtest, Imagism, Emile Pinet
