Poem

Your breath continuous, ceaseless, endless
Happening on its own without any efforts on your part
Ever given it a thought?
How can anything happen on its own?
Not only breathing but all internal activities of body
digestion,  circulation, excretion, reproduction
happen without human intervention
Who does them?

This happened when I was in twenties
As a spiritual seeker desiring salvation,
I went to a spiritual Guru and attended her discourses
One day, as I was busy cooking in kitchen,
I saw her in front of me -
Her face and shoulders in air, smiling she blessed me.
I could feel a white luminous light flow from her towards me
Then something amazing happened

I felt my body was lifeless covering of something
I felt no pain, no feelings, no tiredness
I was detached from the body

When I closed my eyes and  looked within the body I saw many things
On the right side of my chest was a nude man sitting in
meditation pose hands one above other on his thighs
On the left side of chest was a Goddess sitting on a lotus
She was fully decked in ornaments, wearing a saree, blessing all with her hand
I saw many men working relentlessly 

This lasted for many days 
I didn't know how to handle it
Prayed to my  master to take me a step further
But it disappeared

I was convinced I am not the body
All activities within body are done by many
One person, maybe God or soul controls them
