Poem
You stole away my lonely melody, Lord, And made it harmony according to Your accord I’d like to thank You with all of my heart as I make sound My mind is trying to look forward to a future of faithfulness abound I live in the now…I try to live in the now… The past is just a sweat of my brow; anyhow, I am beaten up by curiosity and want to be free Like a brazen drum in the nighttime, lifting up LHC I almost killed myself to end the pain at last To get rid of the horrendous thoughts of the past I can’t relive it anymore with my family by my side I must provide for them continuously like I always do — yes, I have tried! I am a great husband to my fervent family I always look after them, looking forward To an adverse world left unfinished — it will finish finally We are attempting to do according to His word Although we stumble and fall unsteadily, God, let us mend our scars eventually God, let me mend my scars of yesterday’s anxieties By injesting the fumes and smoke of my bong that puts me at ease Because life, in general, is a journey of failures and successes It’s a road of recovery with bumps and rocks that leaves a mess Grind away the grief-stricken muses That abuses my mindset with meaningless excuses I don’t mind Your helping hand during these tribulations Just give me a voice to sing out my songs of many sensations I want to kill away the pain in my heart — From the start, it’s been tearing all of me apart What does it mean to live in an adverse world? It means live life to the fullest of your abilities To live in the Kingdom of peaceful possibilities Allow the resin of my sin to settle inside the stem of serenity — The mercy and forgiveness God gives abundantly and freely I don’t know where to begin, but I’m a dolphin with his fins in the air, Sincerely soaring with the waves of rapid radiance without a single care Shatter away the shame, embracing me, Never leaving my presence oh so honestly I don’t want another pain killer to swallow To numb the pain temporarily until tomorrow So, I think upon positivity — My daughter of longevity She is so much like me, but I pray She doesn’t go through what I go through day by day I also think of my awesome mother — She is a jewel against the water And, of course, my other lovely half At least I’m not ugly on anyone’s behalf! I listen to music to soothe all of me in times of need Or times when I want it most — much like my weed I miss the days when I would smoke with my friend — He is an amazing find till the very end and I tend To think of him highly because he’s been through A rough time that is similar to me and my circumstances — who knew? What does an adverse world mean to you? What does it mean to me? Is it meant to be? Is it meant to be finished abruptly in oblivion and rue? No, eventually, it will be revealed to all benevolently The tunes in my brain Revert back to the good times spent with family and friends alike It’s like a midnight train On its train tracks or like a mechanic, working on a brilliant bike I am that mechanical, mending man of your dreams, My well-spoken wife of a billion, trillion beams, Never will we be falling at the seams, For you and I are meant to be like the sun and moon that gleams I can ardently fix your broken heart I can repair your cruel mindset from the start God and the adverse world is a cure to all of our hardships So, I move on with a firm grip upon your luscious, red lips What does an adverse world mean to you? An adverse world sets my worries on fire out of the blue It sets my spirits free for an infinite moment A freedom with no thought of his resentfulness, so potent Forgiving others of their wrongdoings, for better tomorrows, I am letting go of the struggles, aches and sorrows By singing my songs of rageful joy Songs I knew since I was a boy The adverse world is here to stay And will wipe away the tears of dismay And will make our fears go astray From dusk to dawn, from night to day We will endure God’s adverse world is our cure God is the cure to all illnesses that draw near So, have no fear and don’t shed any tear, my dear He has finished us off with His love — Now, it’s up to you and I to roam above And rove with a voice to rejoice This time, without rage in my voice But, it’s my choice To reveal to you my version of wondrous vitality and thunderous might So that I can let shine His light to enlighten you and I tonight Forgiveness is just a flight away Will you fly with me to shed away the shame today? Because I’m sick of the dismay We are sick of the dismay, I pray, you pray, we pray — The adverse world left unfinished Has now been finished… So, do me a favor and replenish as you wish Your adverse world from start to finish ~Dedicated to and inspired by AJP
