As fashion statements go I fear his ‘T’ was rather shaky 
I wanna tap him on the back and bellow ‘Wakey wakey!’
What the hell you wearing boy, your T-shirt’s really stupid
A muscle car or superhero just might bring you Cupid

No one told me he was deaf so all he said was ‘What?’
Did you say you think my ‘T’ is really kinda hot?
I said turn on your hearing aid so we can have a chat
I said it in sign language (phew, I’m glad I covered that)

He switched his ears on, turned to me and said what’s with your raving
It’s just a printed T-shirt that you seem so badly craving
I had this image printed just to illustrate a poem
Some fella drew it for me from a sketch I had to show him

I said it’s alligators, out of focus, by a river
And there’s electric cables making alligators quiver 
And other alligators dance as sparks come from the rocks
He said that’s right young man, I call it fuzzy crocs and shocks

I said another time or day, I’d think your mind was gone
But when you heard the rules, Sir... was your hearing aid turned on?
