You were my churning fire
But, I must reach to the surface of the water
You were my burning desire
Let’s dive into the tidal waves asunder, asunder
Now, you bring me to my knees
And tell me to be at ease...at ease...

I wanna break free

From a money hungry society

From the shadows below me

Shed away the shallow words of worthlessness
Set me free from despondency so languished
For, I see the midnight light amongst the darkness
Sing to me your lyrics of a fire extinguished 
Instead, be a burning ember of glory
Anguish will disappear in a flurry, in a hurry, don’t you worry, no need to scurry
I will rise from the ashes like a Phoenix

I noticed the river’s wide, the river’s wide and I saw you cry
I don’t know why, don’t know why
I went through the dark tide, the dark tide, just to watch you die
