Poem
He’s just six and a bubbling beauty The love that he showers on his siblings abound Filling his world with the charms and the dreams Yet prefers to maintain a distance from those around! He invents and creates the toys of his own Takes the wheels of the monster truck And fixes them under the little car that he loves A newer version of the never before seen vehicle! His games may seem a little off-beat to you But his mind’s always occupied and on the move His imagination surpasses that of all the adults Not once does he feel discouraged by their discontent! For he continues to build a ramp for his cars However hard you may try not to pay heed To his creative inventions, yet you finally would be proud For he’s only six and his success shines in his smiles! You may not help him find the cardboard Or to help him fix the two ends with the glue He still would persist until the work is done And then his face gleams on the successful attempt! Never would you see him cry out loud For the broken toys or the worn out clothes He’s always on to something newer and fresher And none could hold him back from achieving his goals! His goals are some little tiny dreams to achieve And to quietly sit and work on the wheels Most of which are cross-connected to the cars To whom they certainly would never belong! The skates that he rides on and falls down never This skill would astonish you but you might fail to see The precision and the confidence that in his skating he presents For he’s often a quiet and a child with words few! His teachers might complain for he participates in none Of the class activities and refrains from the play That his classmates might love to play non-stop Watching from a distance he prefers to be quiet! It’s a social world, you might think How will he survive, you might fear But the skills that he possesses and the intellect that is shown In his quiet persona are enough to sustain! The greatest men and the highest achievers Were not always those who spoke out loud Rather the ones who’d in a corner sit And be the silent part of the maddening crowd! Panic not, nor label him ‘Shy’ He’s a star with an aura of his own What’s an ‘Introvert’ or an ‘Extrovert’ got to do With the happiness, the bliss in the life well-lived! These are the labels that would do more harm than good To the little inquisitive creative mind Pressurize him not with your expectations galore For’s he’s got his own dreams in his little tiny sparkling eyes!
