Poem
As a young child I was told, the knife's edge is very sharp. Do not touch, you will get cut. As I got older, I was given a small knife. I was taught how to handle it, how I was to use it and to cut. Sometimes I was cutting food, sometimes I was cutting flowers. I found this sharp shiny piece of metal, was good for cutting some thing else. Then came the day I was cutting, yes cutting myself. Some days small cuts, some days deep cuts. Why did I want to feel the pain, why more pain on myself. While I could not get back at others, I could get back at myself. Wearing a long sleeve shirt hid it from others, it would never hide it from myself. Life of pain others afflicted, now showing the scars on my arm. The knife's edge is a very sharp shiny piece of metal, it can be used for both good and bad. Date Written:5/14/2021 Note: Just a story/write "Not" true for me but for many.
