hearken to the sound of reality come round crowing to the sun a brand new day just begun much more mundane than profound the universe hums until eternity comes shifting light plasma moves through sparse cosmic miasma the interstellar stanza universe springs forth actual mountains of truth spreads reality far and wide as can be seen makes possible everything all part of the whole impenetrable black hole smallest particle in this cosmic carnival the universe has control each living person has their very own version of reality some perspectives quite sane others completely bizarre avoid conclusions life is filled with illusion does real offense to concept of common sense we build our own delusions ideology based on ethical tenets will last much longer than creeds built upon conceit and naked quests for power Atlantis and hell religion's heaven as well reside within minds to make reality blind to what some believe should be all which may be felt has taken place in the past what is envisioned may be planned for the future only the present exists individuals may accomplish and excel through doing things well only collectively do humans survive and evolve evolution leads down many and varied paths creates the coarse math makes a sentient being feel life is much too fleeting have thought much too much about dilemmas and such things which should not be cosmic inconsistencies life's many contradictions searching for meaning we create our own demons to torment the mind appropriate all free time and turn us toward evils tired legs mount steel horse moving closer to the source dust on everything eyes keep track of what's been seen years don't convey what has been naught is self abuse when nothing is left to lose drift out of control now much less than half of whole dynamite with burning fuse what lies in between words we say and what we mean all that could have been what we don't wish to disclose or things which should be supposed love, light and laughter enlivens what comes after fills up time and space trouble and worry erased brings hope to the human race eternity hides where the cosmos goes to die beyond tomorrow past every pain and sorrow the place nothingness resides if truth is the task the universe will not ask to be understood for bad, better, worse or good reality wears no mask soon we shall arrive at the same point in our lives change has done its work youth is past and does not lurk save within mind's archives disappearing verse some concise some perhaps worse filling up the page hoping to somehow engage as sparse syllables disperse
