Abhor

Arrogance and ego, tit for tat
Let’s see right where the heart is at
Shame on me or shame on you
Do as I say and not as I do

Calling names, sticks and stones
Is it ever ok to crack some bones?
Wounding intentions are felt by all
Lip service enhance an imminent fall

The complex of a petty man
They’ll crush your will because they can
Three fingers point right back at thee
Silent assassins, you’ll always be

That painted box is getting weak
So many silently stand and speak
Pride is seen and felt once more
to a righteous rant I just abhor
