Poem

patterns on water,
in the clear blue lake,
what makes them appear?
perhaps the air gush,
a little trout’s flip,
or bubbles from deep,
a lost frond of leaf,
by the boatman’s oar,
when water birds soar,
family of ducks,
little pup that skips,
his owner’s foot flips,
we shall never know!
but the lake remains,
as placid as can,
unperturbed and calm!
nature’s guardian,
that provides for all,
fluid sustenance,
a place for a walk,
weather to cool down,
a home for creatures,
but remains serene,
radiating love,
beauty, peace and joy!
the patterns reflect,
the Sun and the Moon,
the milky way stars,
holding a mirror,
to God’s creation!
ever considered
how much it would take,
to be like that lake?
