Another milestone hurdled as we decide to embark on the journey of life together

Forecast predicting bad weather but as long as I have you nothing else will matter

We can get through any storm, and at times it may seem harder than you imagined

You may even ask is this even worth it, or is this bomb about to explode from the canon

Before your mind starts to worry or tears cry any more, let me stop you to say breathe as I hold your hands to apologize

“I am sorry for being selfish and putting my needs before your own, I don’t want it to be this way but habits are hard to break when you are used to being alone…”

Now that I have you, I can’t think of any more beautiful feeling

So, when I get on your nerves remember the good parts of we, and not the bad parts of me

Remember the first time I said I love you and how we were first afraid for a spilt second but then knew everything would be ok

Think about long walks and longer talks on the phone until one of us falls asleep

Go back to when you would smile so big just waiting for my name to pop up on your phone

Picture me kissing your ring finger on purpose years before I got down on one knee

Open your eyes and kiss me 

We will have many disagreements but today we agreed on our wedding venue 

The Milestone, and as the guide gave the tour, I saw you rushing to arrive because you were a little late

My mind painted a portrait of you getting ready as my forever queen

I saw you walking down the aisle and watched myself try to hold back the tears

I envisioned our last dance and knew this was one feeling similar to what I felt a little after we started talking

I know there will be many more milestones and I am glad I will get to smile through them while looking at you

p.s. there is no milestone greater than our love…
