Do not grieve the Spirit NKJV, "be angry and do not sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath nor give (a) place to the devil." There are only two types of anger or wrath. The one Jesus Christ practiced on this earth was referred to as righteous indignation. Cleansing His Father's house from a den of thieves by chasing them out with a whip cord. He also liberated the birds and the other sacrificial animals in the process. We are to be angry and sin not and being angry at evil actions and people is righteous indignation. Seeking revenge and/or retribution for actions committed against you personally is the other form of anger. We are instructed to not let the sun go down on our anger. Jesus Christ knows full well humans cannot handle wrathful emotions on our own. If we do, we only give place to the devil himself! That is why we need to trust and obey God to help heal us from our angry emotions=angry actions=escalation! Escalation=destruction of people or their personal property. The solution is to turn our eyes fully upon Jesus Christ. We need to humbly pray not to be lead unto temptation, but to be delivered from evil. The devil is the source of all evil! Trials and temptations are all a part of the human experience. On our own and left to our own devices, the only solutions we can arrive at are only temporary. God doesn't promise to keep us from hard times, only to see us clearly through them. That includes physical and other healings! It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgement. They'll come a time in our lives when medical science will fail us! Our lives will soon be over and done with and that alone can create much more than mere angry emotions. It can cause complete devastation! Towards the closure of our lives, we need to depend much more, upon our Lord, Savior, and Great physician! But we should wait until our final hours and days of our lives! We need to practice our faith every day of our lives! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! If our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the world, we will inherit our free gift of everlasting life. We can pray for people to be healed or to be taken home to heaven. We are not to let the sun go down on our wrath! We are to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord and He shall lift us up higher and higher. In Jesus Christ's Holy Name!
