Poem
He knows what the future holds As He knows the here and now He knows every small detail of My heart, soul and spirit’s doubts He knows about my sorrows and pains Has healing in His every mercy Gives me the opportunity to share The feelings of my heart’s depths The wonders that fill my dreams The joy I feel when I think of Him He knows about my fears and worries Sees all the thoughts going through my head Helps me to work up the needed courage To face all my struggles with assurance He knows how deeply I yearn for affection And how I love to give love to others Sees when I’m going in the wrong direction Guides me through the unsuitable paths Onto better avenues of joy and wonder He knows about all my hopes and dreams How I value the love I find in my family He sees the pain that haunts me whenever Some sadness reaches out to a loved one Breathes sorrow through the black clouds That surround the heart who knows that Love can be destroyed by doubt and loathing Feelings that cause hearts to quack and break From all the pain that cuts through the essence Of one who longs for the joy of compassion He knows what will happen before it ever does Reaches down with His care before we feel The pangs of pain and doubt that will come When sorrow beckons us from the ruins of the ache Found within a soul who holds on to the sting of a wound that continues to penetrate the soul with throbbing soreness that resembles torture He is the only One capable of taking away That grief that comes from the deepest of pain When there is anguish that will not let go He knows about us – our depths, heart and soul Everything we think – everything we are He knows our spirit’s wonders and wants The hues of light that surround us with warmth When we meet grace and find the way Toward letting go of the sadness and reaching out To the gladness – the gift of His presence Piercing our soul with the knowledge that We are loved more than we can ever know With a love that is stronger than any hurt A love that grows wiser with time and trial Leaving our lives filled with sensations of thrills Felt when God blesses a heart with a prayer For giving from the heart the gift of His love Love that is the answer to every worry or doubt Love that sends hope to the hopeless Love that brings light to the darkness Love that lingers throughout the sad times Love that shares life with mercy and grace Love that is alive, dancing like wildfire
