Poem
Allow me tell you a story of time Seat well and you might need a glass of wine Not to worry at the end we will all be fine So I won’t mind if from now you start to smile Even thou I know this story will make you to cry The beginning of time was so fine Look at how everyone had no choice but just to smile Happiness was not a choice it was a character Joy was not an occasion it was present in every situation The orphan had a house to stay and not under the bridge The widow had plenty to eat and even more to share The government had the people at heart and made it there priority Legitimacy of leadership was not a war This was the perfect story of time If you allow me I will say the real story of time This wasn’t meant to change Happiness was meant to stay Prosperity was supposed to dominate Before I could rest from smiling A tear had dropped from my eye My brothers have been kidnapped by who I don’t know My sisters have been raped by who I can’t tell My village has been burnt and all that is left are the ashes of my grand parents Am now acquainted to burial ceremonies than weeding Months mind than naming ceremonies I can’t even get there soon enough the roads are bad I have lost the desire for food But wait the government did not provide any I now cry more than the way I laugh Sorrow is now my habit The virus came without our notice The poor ran to their hurts The rich locked up themselves in their mansions Those abroad were dying to come home The giants were humbled The outspoken were silenced The graves had new landlords In their numbers black and white So much that you can’t count I thought I was the only one in this mess I heard those from the east shouting for change I saw those in the west calling for a revival Those from the south talking about the their lost friends From the north the search of our kidnapped friends We are in pain together we are crying I know you are crying now Am with my face wiped too, in fact we all are crying Are you still with that glass of wine? Pick it up I assure you is time to dine The prince of peace is here He came to change the story of time He came to revive us.
