Poem
Answerable to only you Breathing the air of our love Connected by invisible thread. Sometime in the days long past, a Prince began his quest, to win the lady, his one true love, but first to pass the test. The king demanded of all who sought, the hand of the princess to wed, that they bring to him the only knife that could cut through invisible thread. The prince unsure of where to start, but the challenge he still took, on horseback rode into the woods, for the knife he had to look. Several days he wandered, over hill and by running streams, he fell asleep beneath a tree, and of the princess he began to dream. Out of the dark there came a witch, she spied the sleeping prince, she'd seen a prince sometime ago, but not for a long while since. "Awaken prince and tell me, why you sleep here by this tree? is it a quest your embarking, hurry prince, answer me" The Prince awokened with a fright, answering the witch who filled him with dread, "Tis a knife I seek, not just any knife, this one cuts through invisible thread" "For what purpose do you seek this knife, the one of which you speak?", the prince answered eyes so full of love, "to wed the princess, is why i seek" The witch understood his heart felt quest, the quest many had tried before, "I'll give you the knife if you answer me this, what is it of her you adore?" He did not need time to think, the words he always knew, "Answerable to only you, Breathing the air of our love, Connected by invisible thread, it has only ever been her" The witch heard the words he spoke, she knew them to be true, and in a voice much softer replied "and my prince was always you". She cast off the cloak, her disquise, the princess stood before him clear as day, take me to the King she said, your quest is won today" Nothing cuts quite like words, including invisible thread, once at the castle before the King, the two were quickly wed. The prince read aloud his wedding Vows, in words so crystal clear, of his intentions he made sure, his princess now would hear..., 'Many seek the ultimate prize Few understand the worth of the gold To have and to hold'.
