“Gods Like Men”



you the small men 
who war like gods

mystery that never was
in a likeness formed

through the mirrors
of the soul of God

a darkness
and a light 

the next star rising
after Sunset comes the Morning

you the small gods 
who war like Men 

whirling dervish
never changing patents

trumped lobbyists
still counting the way 

the numbers sway
the tide crying 

pulling in the 
last waves

eternal continuum 
swallowing tails never ends

the time of great conjunction
all the dead presidents

ouroboros feasting on its own 
enigmatic pages

Ra-Osiris 
merging

the small gods who war like men
are worn like tokens

chrysopoeia transmuted 
confront duality rapturous

the gods 
who war like small men

come and go 
transferred gods into men’s souls

repetitive
in and out 

the feet of ignorant men
walk in God’s souls

a darkness
and a light

through angry lives 
perpetuating the lies 

continue to reign
the rain of life on men 

not made of fire 
marching feet slip 

less than human -
zombie effigies

evolve in Winter's 
flimsy sleet 

promising 
much tomorrow

today 
is yesterday felt

a deep flame at sunset
swords cut the bleeding clouds 

their tears turn 
shell and bone to rust

as above
so below

you the small men
who war like gods

lines soldiers in a row
