Poem
Hard to let go, of your own reflection, someone you held close to your left lung. Your own soul spreads like an infection, what you could have, wish you had done. These are the most sincere words, I will ever write. To be completely honest with you, don’t know who was wrong, who was right. I just feel like we died in a hopeless fight, both lost sight, of what we had. True, it all ended and that is bad, on its own, but I wish you could have stayed to see me grown. I wish you could have simply tried, to have known, I would live this life, every other too, for you, you alone. When the divine, tried to find, poetry in being, the soul was split in two, spread across a fleeing time. I found you, I had you, you were mine. That is why, I now sigh, hopeless, drowning inside a mind. You are of way too much power, to be owned, held back at any one hour. The most beautiful flower, I hope, will rise beyond the limited skies. I could not begin to describe, how much you meant to me. I tried to replace you, but God wrote what was meant to be. So while I walk this land, trying my best to simply stand, I just hope you understand, you are the best of us. I hope you never realize, I am your missing part. The piece to complete the art, drawn by God, herself. I pray, you breathe with ease, all your pain, let it fall to me. When her heart is sore, I will pour rain to please. When she is cold, let her find warmth in my hollow chest, as my love, she deserves nothing but the best. My violent ocean, my distant home, know that you will never be alone, as long as I rule a lonely throne. Know that when you cry and the moon above you shines, I am there, begging it to wipe your tears. When you feel fear, feel that there is no one near, I stand besides you, on this lonely rock, floating into nothing. You, are eternal, so smile as wide and let go of all your weight. My beautiful, kind and fleeting fate. Everything will be just fine.
