Poem
Never forgive those, who left you alone in the dark, on nights you wished you could depart. Those who made you lose the spark, burning deep in your heart, this world’s not hopeful, my scars have now, turned art. and although my life passes in the blink of an eye, I survived a time when, when they all went to hide. Each tear drop turned an ocean, oblivious to time, I’ve been stuck inside my head and I need me to fly. The laws of this universe, won’t let me go. I yearn for more, still I continue to fall. My feet sink deeper as I continue to grow, the peace I want would make a mother lose her soul. I haven’t been whole, since the day I was born, torn between having to mourn and running free. The guilt I feel, just made me ill, for moments, she helped me breathe, perhaps just a thrill. Still I see different faces, singing the same old song, everyone’s dirty and perhaps my mind is young. Am I so innocent and pure, or too naive to hold on? I beg, I plead for God, her signs are lost in dawn, I fell asleep and couldn’t see the warmth. I just want to be, happy for being me, but my feet are burning and I need me to flee. Never, forgive those who left you, alone in the cold. Believe what you see and never what you are told. Your worth means much more than any pot of gold, only in a world where they can’t bare to watch you suffer. Here’s the words, spoken to the boy there under, hiding deep within my chest, afraid of thunder. It will all be alright, you’ll never again suffer, all of them are gone, they’ll never hurt us. Hold on to my hand, the world is filled with wonder, let go of your pain, although you really loved her. You need to stop that wander, thinking, could I save her soul, if just once more I hugged her. We are drowning, with no hand to lift the rivers off your lungs, surrounded by all and seeing none of those you love. It’s you, just you and none of the above, that will make you feel alright, until the day you’re done. So I beg you, hold on just another moment. There are ways your mind can’t even paint. Let time unravel, to that which they all call fate and you will feel your way around, to heaven’s gates. Just hold on. Take my hand. Everything will be just fine.
