Poem
stared at the two passionate lines for the longest time,
what I wrote ..I created ... as if in a trance, as if in a surreal dream ..
is this poignant piece a poem?

tears fell...one after another ... every drop, every translucent pearl of grief long encased in a shell of hope and disappointment.
I am rapt with a sublime feeling of purification!
This is my holy place, this is my offering! 

took a decision in my youth, which turned out very wrong.
no option of going back, so decided to take control, make things right.
it was an insurmountable height of uphill struggle. 
tried and tried with my mind bent on winning. suffered and suffered - shutting my eyes, clenching my fist, hushing my voice. 
due to my stubborn pride and inclination not to complain, frustrations lingered hidden under a nonchalant face.

life went on and on - did it really?
I was chained, I was locked in a chamber of selfish cruelty - dragging were the days!
diminishing elegance... frail and sick, miserable and dejected...a crushed rose...
dreams and goals were a thing of the past, disappearing,
harsh, and embittered - each day felt like a harrowing experience,
there was no light at the end of the tunnel.

another decision...another effort to unchain myself...
this time it took me to a different direction.
hope in sight, but no sign of the person who was truly me - inside myself.
although kindness, empathy grew like creepers in one corner of my soul .....determination, courage in the other.

finally life veered to an unexpected course - a drizzle of rain from heaven, quenching my starving soul, showered on me.
probably my Creator knew - this was the time of resurgence.
a waterfall from high mountains resounded in assurance, a Koel’s song awakened me from a long slumber ...
cascaded emotions which were shattered - real life bleeding on a paper ...with an eloquent pen.
dark days ...which had me gone through enormous pain,
also has enriched me with enormous strength, knowledge, realization of a sublime truth.
a Phoenix rising from the ashes!

all my creativity is back,
all my negativity is gone,
there is unselfish love in this world, there is miraculous compassion, there is exhilarating pleasure in accomplishment ...
art, music, painting, poetry, sculpture - everything makes sense to me.
I am jubilant in an euphoria of victory - 
I am above those pains, those hurtful days - when I felt so trivial...so insignificant.

found my oasis - in a way so magnificent I never imagined! 
unstoppable is the exaltation I experience in sheer creativity!
this is my gift! art is my life, poetry is my life!
music is my life, devoting my energy to needy children is my life!
there is no end to this bliss, found my refuge!
found liberation, found an existence significativa.
