Poem
I kept looking around to see if I knew anyone in this town but everywhere I turn I see the goal post digging and the people are singing Their faces have grown old but their spirits are still bold. And somewhere underneath the cold grin the last episode has unfold the autumn delight and the winter underneath the clouds. The lights walked about with determination in the street erupting the town’s heart beat, the town with its wissily, wassily sounds hold up its hips while the ducks lay on top of the pirate dish, it looks like the Peking ducks with head and beaks baked in with teeth getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner, and the turkey in the Crockpot hang around lazily waiting for Thanks giving ceremony. And next to me two mega dogs with sunken belly and protruded ribs walk around looking at me, they have not eaten for weeks and it pains my heart to see them looking so pitiful. I looked over yonder and I can hear the chef on kitchen street shouting, “I don ‘feed dirty dogs.” That was his response, when I asked him for the left over for the dogs. I don’t know how much longer they can stay alive to endure this painful sacrifice. Man cats and dogs wrapped up in the same sheet. The ocean is standing tall, the rivers are rising and the rain clouds are braking. My stomach is crying out and my body is shouting out, my slender arms are filled with energy and the clouds are moving with the dish. When I look around I can see them crying out and the town is dancing about with its face on the ground. Oh I forgot that it is Thanksgiving Day my spirit has gone astray my heart is not sitting on turkey or ham but it is singing a very different song, and my in a faraway land. There is no antagonism or bully pulpit the people are fair and square and have much to share. How nice it would be if We all come home to kindness and cultivate a spirit of forgiveness. The time is passing swiftly and some people are wrapped up in their glory. the kite is flying high, and a new melody resonates from the sky. What you know is what you don’t know and what you don’t know will keep you focused and moving. My spirit is traveling to new land with new meaning and my heart will experience something revaling. The day is winding down and my stomach is crying out and just as I thought that I was going to pass out nature rescue me with a shout I found a big guava on the tree. Happy Thanks giving day. If today is not your day tomorrow will be a better day.
