Poem Doubles The Gift, The Girl, The Sweetest Love In our love paradise, a bit of heaven sings "Within gasping echoes born as soft luted springs," As Nicean melodies carried by heart's true dance From dawn-like sweeping dreams of sensual romance; A symphony, majestic in June's grand parade Sailing upon angel wings, an opera played, Ecstasies of nights, fervor cast from melded souls Much as winds through flowering meadows softly roll. In our loving-born vows, treasures sent from our bliss " Life as sweet as each golden-honey dripping kiss," Triumphant over past agonies as truth heals Wounds of youth and that which Fate far too often steals; Glory was found on paths that we as lovers trod With your lips glowing as red as rose-covered sod, Morn's new chimes, waking to your warm body embrace Heart recalling your ravishing beautiful face. In our love paradise, a bit of heaven sings "Within gasping echoes born as soft luted springs," As Nicean melodies carried by heart's true dance From dawn-like sweeping dreams of sensual romance; A symphony, majestic in June's grand parade Sailing upon angel wings, an opera played, Ecstasies of nights, fervor cast from melded souls Much as winds through flowering meadows softly roll. Robert J. Lindley, 11-26- 2020 Rhyme, 12 syllable verses The Greatest Art, The Pen, The Love I that fell in love with the poet's brush felt but a small bit of Heaven's sweet touch, absorbed a measure of serenity, found a welcomed glimpse at eternity; such as was gifted by great poets of old masters inking their verse sweet, strong, and bold as harvesters of thoughts true and sublime dedicated words to give throughout time. I sought to bow to and follow their path besiege this dark world battle its dark wrath wake to dawn's soft-breath, its radiant glows, stand firm against raging storms darkness blows; affirm man's right to not fear dread of night nor cower at evil's hideous sight instead, speak and act with truth in accord and with stalwart courage fight devil's horde. I that fell in love with the poet's brush felt but a small bit of Heaven's sweet touch, absorbed a measure of serenity, found a welcomed glimpse at eternity; such as was bequeathed us, by poets of old masters inking their verse sweet, strong, and bold those that gave of such tender hearts and souls gifting to fill life's immense golden bowls. Robert J. Lindley, 11-26- 2020 Rhyme, 10 syllable verses
