SAVE US FROM MY MOTHER'S OTHER CHILDREN We are products of a polygamous home A family of many mothers and single powerful father Our mothers were never united but formed alliance with few other wives Many of them live in the East, West , North, Central and Southern parts of their husband's land My mother chose the west and lives with her other rivals She is the giant in the midst of many wives Still the one with the most children My mother has many children Many of my siblings play big brother to my other step siblings They are adored and respected behind the walls of my mother's camp They are considered powerful mentors and heroes by my step siblings Within my mother's camp are my other brothers Brothers with monstrous claws and fangs Here are my brothers with leather whips and metal cuffs They scream at us and call us hopeless My nephews follow the path of their fathers and mock us from dawn to dusk We chose them as leaders but they tow the path of slave masters Our mother's other children claimed they were born to our lords And when we ask to visit the mines We are gifted with a Rolex watch When we ask to sail on the ship They gave us life vest to stay at the shore When we scream of hunger They throw crumbs and chaos ensues Our father is aged Never recovered from the wounds of his colonial masters Too weak deaf to hear our screams His eyes too weak to see the agony in his home No use calling on our mother She is old sick and dying My other siblings have shattered our mother's heritage And laundered our common inheritance to the white wolves' lands The lands far beyond the stretch of oceans They left us starving and naked Others left clothed in stenching rags Our other brothers sent their guards after us to break our bond The hot metal stones rained upon us The hunters stick no longer for the animals but aimed at fellow kindred The hot metal stones have ripped our ribs apart and drained the hearts of its fluid They no longer bruise us They smoke our souls off our body The street is submerged under the blood my kinsmen They raised the cloak of our mother But the guards desecrated it with the blood of the unarmed They pleaded in the name of our mother But the guards silenced their souls Who will save them from the wrath of their mother's other children Before my clan becomes extinct in the family tree We call on the gods not to forsake us Save us from the wars of our mother's other children CONCEPTUAL FM ???
