Poem
He sold his soul to the devil, an eternal proclamation, to close his eyes in this life and awaken to damnation. He claimed to know God, and that Jesus was his saviour, while bowing on his knees, asking satan for a favour. Awakened to his wrongs, it's too late to repent, his possessions remain, but his soul is spent, he thought he was enlightened to the 33rd degree, and regardless of his deeds, his spirit remained free, Now he's bound in Sheol, with no where to run, and the realisation, that the True God's will be done. Awaiting his judgement, just like the rest, he's aware, that he's failed the ultimate test.. She too, sold her soul to satan, ignorant of the concept, of eternal proclamation. A star to the masses, thought forever shining bright, praise from the people, was her earthly delight. A life of luxury, wealth, envy and lust, God did not approve, so the devil she would trust. She believed the lie, that she could be like him, working up the ranks of wickedness and sin. She promoted his church, and worshipped the fallen one, called upon demons, and bowed down to the sun. Then her turn came, the final curtain call, where lucifer's promotion has no meaning at all. She, too, bound in Sheol, where no throne awaits her, She denied the True God and Jesus the True saviour. Awaiting her judgement, just like the rest, she too, is aware, that she's failed her test. So where do you stand? Who is your king? Only God knows your intent within, to be seen doing good, or genuine care? A self-righteous spirit or a soul that loves to share? We are all sinners, falling short of God's glory, will you allow Jesus to edit your story? Will you surrender fully? Will you not be so tall? Where the angels that guide you didn't stumble or fall. God's kingdom is holy, no sin can abide, will you flow like the river's? Or wait for His tide? Life is full of choices, a freedom that's unique, when you come to a crossroad, who's counsel do you seek? When eyes close for the last time, and you are laid to rest, will you fail, or will you pass, your ultimate test?
