Poem
On the fifteenth of may Was the day that they met It was truly a day They'd both never forget They were made for eachother They'd never fall apart They loved eachother to much To break the others heart A whole year went by Oce more the fifteenth of may They walked hand in hand together As they celebrated the day They ended up under a tree And carved in it this special date They talked about their lives together And how they couldn't wait They became so much in love It was plain and easy to see And every single fifteenth of may They'd meet eachother under their tree One cold day he came to her And he handed her his coat He told her to look in the pocket And there she'd find a note He said, "wait until i leave, Then read what i have to say" With a tearstained face he walked back home And prayed that they'd both be okay It said, i moving really far away You'll always be in my heart I think its best were not together Since we'll be so far apart Somehow, someway, we'll meet again Each year you still love me, go to our tree Someday you just might find me there Her heart was broke but she didn't give up They hadn't talked in seven years Each of those years she went to their tree And alone she sat holding back all the tears She was about ready to move on Then came along another fifteenth of may For the very last time, she went to the tree Hoping today might be that day She hardly slept the night before She fell asleep under the trees She looked up and saw him standing there Then realized it was only a dream She heard some noises from behind And she quickly turned around Not expecting to see anything In disbelief, true love she found She smiled and ran up to him Tears welled up in her eyes As she thought about her new life That was beginning to arise She said, "I can't believe your back, I thought that you'd forget" He said, "Don't you know i've loved you, Since the first day that we met" He said,"I thought that you'd find someone else, And leave you and me behind" He said," the thought of being with anyone else, Never even crossed my mind" "I came back to once more be with you, Its hard to believe, i know, All i had to do was follow my heart And it showed me where to go I kept my promise all these years Only to you i stayed true And after all the pain and all the tears My heart still belongs to you
