I don't know exactly when my search began;                                                                                             And I don't know when my friend just 'up and ran'.                                                                                                  To be honest, although I noticed that parts of him were                                                                                        missing the day I was born, there was still enough of him                                                                            remaining to really appreciate all he had to offer everyone.                                                                                   

I guess what I'm saying is that so much of him is now rapidly                                                                  disappearing that it's almost like he no longer exists for our benefit.                                                                             
If I had to site a time that I really observed the loss of him, it would                                                                   probably be the late 70s to early 80s that my friend became gravely missing.                                                              

It's not just that he's somewhat gone, but deep inside of me I am wondering                                                     why he left.  I really do not think that his disappearance in an enigma, but it does force me to ask questions. Did we take him for granted and push him away from our lives? Did we no longer have use for him in our present culture?  Could we no longer endure his insistence upon our being true to 'human nature'; or did we grow weary of him telling us who and what to trust; or did we turn a deaf ear to his pleadings when he warned us of dangers to come if we rejected or overlooked certain rules and laws of nature? Can anyone blame him for leaving after repeated rejections?

I tell you, sometimes I feel the pain of my friend's loss, and it saddens me greatly.  Whether you realize it or not, he's also your friend. He's everybody's
friend. God gave him as a gift to the world, and without him, we will never
rise to the potential that God intended for us.
                             
Anyway, I will continue my personal search for my dear friend, and when I find him, I will be certain to remind him how much he is missed and how much our world is crumbling into the abys without him. When I see him in the distance, I will shout out his name. When we touch, I shall give him the biggest hug and and say to him, "O COMMON SENSE*, On behalf of our world and especially my country, I apologize.  I'm so sorry how we came to dismiss your wise counsel               and judgment. You are still loved by so many. Please come home."
