a sisters heart has always been in half
as the brother she was meant to be paired with
was left behind when a mother cared only for herself
with the life we missed, I pray you got better than me
the bars not set very high for you to achieve
but I will never show them my inner desires or needs
as they have always put me down to feel better about themselves
as a bigger person, I have never shown them my pain
but I could never be their sibling without a beer in my hand
my destiny is to become someone who people are glad to see
two sisters and a brother who have a brain cell between them
was what I was left to deal with throughout the years
I met my youngest brother ten years ago
when I think how I was given the chance to meet Steve
there is a light that shines, to know one day 
there will be a day that you too are sent my way
nobody understands how much pain is instilled 
when a brother is taken without warning
with her life she tries to find a place to fit
without anyone to share her laughter and her tears
all because of a mothers selfish belief
will there be an embrace of two siblings lost
or will it be an ever lonely life of a broken dream
