Poem
I always dreamt to walk in this aisle, With you at the end, can't help but to smile It is finally happening; this aisle seems so wide My tears are about to fall; I don't know why. The flowers I am holding is extravagant, The gown I am wearing is very elegant, The classic music I am hearing is soothing, I wish that this feeling would be long lasting. I look around at the people surrounding me, They look at me with admiration like I'm the most beautiful lady, I stop walking because my eyes are blurry, my tears have no ending, But then I look at you, you smile at me, then I continued again with our eyes lock while I'm walking. The way you stare at me makes me hearken back at some things, The way I want to sleep on your lap while listening you sing The way you hug me when I'm missing you like crazy The way you passionately kiss me, we do really have a wonderful story. I'm finally near at you, The gaze in your eyes says that you love me too, I can see the sacred sculpted saints behind you, They will be the witness of our magical wedding, You are at hand; I promise I won't leave you again. I love the way you are smiling at me, I love the way you are staring at me, I love the way you are there waiting for me, Yet, I noticed something that will reverse what I’m feeling. I'm not the one you are smiling at, I'm not the one you are staring at, I'm not the one you are waiting for, But at her, the lady at my back. I froze in what I have remembered, I'm not the one who you are going to marry I'm not the one who makes you happy I'm not the one, but the bride behind me. Tears fall down in my cheeks again, As I see you holding the hand of my best friend, Yes, she's the one who you're going to marry and loves so dearly Not me, who just left you years ago without saying sorry. You fall in love with my best friend who comforted you, During the times when I'm not here to hug you, to kiss you, I left without saying anything, Now, I'm always haunted by the regret of everything. I forced myself to watch the sacred ceremony of yours, even though my heart is breaking, A big part of me is shattering but this is the reality. This aisle is the witness of my lifelong remorse and misery, I have to accept now what is the truth and not to live in my fantasy, That our story ended, that I have to move on and that, there is no longer you and me… for eternity.
