"There can be no rose without a thorn, Same applies for humans, We are all imperfect here, This acceptance is crucial to life here" _______________________________________ Am I a rose or a thorn, I often wonder here... Many a times I have helped others, brought joy to their faces, helped them surmount problems, sprinkled happiness around. At those times I have been a rose in the life of others, a rose which spreads it's fragrance, a rose which gives joy immense. There have been times when unknowingly, unintentionally, I have spoken words that are negative, they've hurt others feelings and emotions, I have despised myself for that. At those times I have been a thorn, a thorn that pricks, a thorn that hurts. Although unintentionally, sometimes while trying to help others, I have made mistakes, messed up things for them, I have increased problems for them. At those times I have been a thorn for them, though unintentional, I have pricked them. Am I a rose or a thorn? I often wonder here... We all want to be roses in others life, but sometimes become thorns. sometimes unintentionally, sometimes out of no choice. Many a times we have to prick, to save ourselves from hurts and abuses. If someone hurls false criticism, we have to prick then and their, otherwise it will linger on in our mind, for days all together. A rape victim cannot be a rose! Nor can an abused house wife! We cannot always be roses! we have to be thorn at time, for we have a duty towards our body, its happiness and protection is our duty! I am a rose and a thorn depending on the situation, I am a normal human. Dated : 7/9/2020 Contest name - The Flower, The Thorn Or Both
