Poem
The child of The dragon and the phoenix Lord of the Skies Decked in robes Gold with seams of silver Riches beyond compare Every dish Served on a shining platter of jade Legions of servants To execute his every command The Aphrodite of fairies Nymphs and angels To play with With their full attention For only the immortal king himself The loneliest king of the world Locked in a blinding paradise No rules binding him Except the grand City with millions of halls and rooms With treasures beyond Your wildest dreams Growing up in solitude Solemn, silent solitude Who knows of no love No kindness No freedom One step out of the gates will Plummet him to his death The only ones he allows Entry in his forbidden castle Are the ones who leave him No matter how much he Pushed his feet to the chase The coaches always End up out of his reach Eyesight going blurry And getting worse Only feeling only When they’re leaving When they’re fleeing Everything abruptly pauses Everyone just keeps Leaving him, Alone, Isolated from the world The mortal world Below his fortress Changes every single day His city stands strong High above in the clouds The king looks down Upon the mortals But envy strikes true Trying to heal his Eternal wounds That never mend Living centuries and centuries Alone in His kingdom in the Heavens Until the greed wrecked Mortals challenged The Lord of the Skies Climbing up the clouds Breaking into his city The king With no choice but to surrender His family heirlooms stolen Destroyed A king only by title A prisoner in life Chained for eternity Pulled and pushed in multiple Directions No choice or freedom Pitiful king Growing old With no polaroids to Flip back to Only wanted warmth Only wanted to be held Only wanted to belong Ill-fated king Son of the dragon and the phoenix Long live the lord
