Messiah
 
I have slept here for two thousand years
a repose envisaged in a slumber of deeds
imagining the use you may have placed to my word
never conceiving of the abuse you plotted for my love
 
I have slept awaiting awakening anew in the tide of your lives
I have dreamed such beauty in the things you have done
with the flower of my message seeds I had sown
 
I have slept for two thousand years
seen all mankind united by the love that they feed
seen tender human devotion embrace the Earth
enfold creation accept my word enhanced truth
 
For two thousand years have I slept in my cocoon of gold
for two thousand years surviving on hope
carrying the wished yearnings of your souls onto the future
into the center of Gods holy light
 
I am restless now moving like a foetus in my womb of gold
the silence is troubled my dreams are fore shadowed
in a conflict of doubt
betrayed eyes of children haunt the ray of my message
stalking the way of my word
 
I have slept here eternal and young
with the promise of birth and re creation
for two thousand years have I awaited your call
