Nevaeh fearlessly twirled her truth
It spun out of her pores and onto everything she touched
She had an integrity that stood back and grinned
As proud of her as her spirit guides.

The other girls thought she was strange
When she was a teenager, for they did not understand
How it would be when they arrived at the same conclusions.
She was so far ahead of them.

Nevaeh never concerned herself about others.
She was too busy creating whatever she thought to create
At that second, following a silent melody no one else heard.
It was clear to her that she was to be her own band.

When the masses began to ooh and awe and say her name
The other girls wanted to claim her, stating “I knew her first”.
She did not mind. She was not concerned about any voice but her own.
Living her truth, which inspired the masses and finally the other girls.
