ANYTHING IS GOOD WHEN YOU’RE HUNGRY

we all need;
some more than others,
and too often we think
that ignorance is bliss,
for we can simply choose
not to explore,
as we of this righteous set
for feeling wise ‘it’s not my difficulty,’
is to simply choose to forget;
that there is an urgent problem,
that surrounds 
the likes of you and me,
but for homelessness folks however
they’re not restricted to any group,
for it could be me,
it could be you,
and homelessness 
is largely an invisible you see,
that doesn’t go way
and things for them; 
are just getting worse 
and worse each day,
for domestic violence plays a big part
women and kids are forced out to stay,
soaring rent prices
more families on street,
and some of the transient crowd
of moving constantly around,
from park bench seats,
and cardboard tents on beach fronts,
or being forced to bunk on down car seats,
couch surfing with a mate or friend
just to lay a weary head a horizontal flat,
and now we must realize;
they’re out there!
and often we can turn a blind eye,
as kids go to school hungrily so,
so, for me as a fortunate person,
I must ask this question;
what is the solution 
to when someone says,
‘anything is good when you’re hungry!’
