Poem
Here I am looking at the sand Here I am waiting on the man Here I am standing up strong Here I am absorbing the consciousness embedded in the heart of the faraway land I am waiting for the moment to come When the soul will flourish again And all the bad energy will fade away And the earth will fall to its knees And mankind spirit will be free And courage will dance merrily on the sea Here I am thinking about it all as the day keeps running away from us all Oh, today is Friday and the afternoon is making music with its own song And the black birds are chirping merrily along The days are passing swiftly And I am feeling very thrifty No money to lend no money to spend Not a dime or a doller in my pocket But I am feeling very happy I am waiting patiently for this masquerade to end so that I can keep dancing again Here I am looking at the sorrows and Idle people moving around waiting for tomorrow Stranded passenger running up and down the town Here I am listening to the aggression all around I watch the hour slowly caving in With a temperature that says where you have been The midnight sky heighten with delight Blazing beyond the creeks and stirring in the deep It is stirring a silent cry and bidding destiny goodbye Who can know when the day is bold tell me who And who can tell when the time is getting old I can see the crowds gathering in the street and the people are swimming out in the deep The unruly crowd burst out in flames Breaking the courage that was standing in fame They hurl bottles and bullets all over the street To send a strong message to man trying to compete The injured and the dead are hurled away and lions took cover and run quickly away, how can you go in the lions cave and pretend as if you don`t know what would come your way the philistine and the Israelites are always at bay and race really matters, this goes way beyond slavery and it has always been about inequality Oh what a wretched day it was today busy body people moving from town to town looking deep into the black hole for the mystery that is often told the black hole accompanied with the stories of old but no one ever touches it, you can only imagine it Oh what a wretched day people are strolling up and down the street Listening to each others heart beat, the music is vibrating in the cars And the shadows are standing up tall, the jerk pan is spewing out smoke and the curry is mesmerizing my nose The sweet aroma is wetting my appetite And you must come and feed me before I board the flight Alas the day has broken and people are galivanting in the street They are filling their hearts with gladness and the universe is dance with happiness, and my heart will rejoice when I stand on the big stage once more, come and feed and give me something nutritious to drink, me not with music or songs but words of wisdom that will propel me along. Race really matters.
