What exactly is meant by, "The Art of Practicing Forgiveness?" Jesus Christ was willing to forgive us. Even going as far as Making his ultimate preordained sacrifice on Calvary's Cross. "On Calvary's cross I make my stand, Poor sinful creature such as I am." Baring the burdens of our sins, "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sins." If he was willing to forgive us? Should we not be willing to forgive others, "who trespass against us?" "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." "Vengeance is mine says the Lord and I will repay." The next step is forsaking our former sinful life style. By putting on the new nature of God himself. Even when money, life and our property is involved. We have watched on our television sets. True believers in Jesus Christ, freely forgiven the persons. Held responsible for taking the lives of their loved one. Yet they are also asking the judges for judicial reforms to our criminal justice system. Practicing forgiveness does not mean the guilty parties will go unpunished. They still must serve their appointed sentences for their crimes. When we repent of our sins, by confessing them. We must turn our back on our sinful behavioral life styles. Jesus Christ told the woman caught in adulatory. "Neither do I condemn you go and sin no more." Let those who are caught in the bondage of compulsive behavioral patterns. Seek spiritual as well as professional help. Including any hospitalizations and/ or treatment facilities. We persist in holding on to grudges and/or family feuds? Have we practiced the art of forgiveness? if we seek either revenge or other forms of retaliations? Are we practicing the art of forgiveness? If we broadcast what someone did to us out of spite? Either on conventual or social media? The answer is no. I have notified people what has happened to me online. My primary motivation was to prevent any more internet or other forms of fraud, Yes I was angry but I still sought justice. Yes I wanted revenge as well. I had to release my angry and bitter emotions. In order for my healing process to begin. Did I follow my own advice? Yes and no! "But practice makes perfect" It does not mean you should reman in situations, or relationships involving domestic and/or other forms of violence's. Distance yourselves from your abusers and seek the necessary protection and sanctuary. Turn all of your problems over to him. Love in Christ Jesus! Roxanne Lea Dubarry 06/13/20
