Honest Ones By Franklin Price 06/10/2020 What happened to the honest ones? Ones who'd rather die than lie. Been replaced by the dishonest Makes the truthful want to cry The rich, the high, the mighty Use their bucks to buy the power Power produces liars We see it happen every hour If life is power/money, Those who have it, still have need If lying gets them more of it They must lie to feed the greed Some who have the riches Feel impelled to heed the call To represent their countrymen. At the top, to lead us all The U.S. is based on freedom Common good for everyone With morals based religions Truth when all is said and done No oath that is taken, By those who run this land, Requires that the truth be told. I find that hard to understand Our founders were remiss, I think, When the Constitution was all set They left out mention of the truth Not their mistake, I'd bet They knew that politicians lie It's the nature of the beast No matter where they came from North and South, and West and East If lying gives them power To move them farther up the line Then lying is allowable In fact, it's more than fine If you see their lips are moving There is more than just a chance They're stretching out the truth a bit To do a side-step dance PS In the event you think I'm lying, About the oaths these people take, Read the following attached, It's the truth, for goodness sake. There is no law that requires honesty, just upholding the Constitution. IN A TIME OF UNIVERSAL DECEIT TELLING THE TRUTH BECOMES AN ... endofthefreeworld.wordpress.com/2011/08/15/in-a... Aug 15, 2011 · in a time of universal deceit telling the truth becomes an act of rebellion. -George Orwell This is my act of rebellion. I would like to bring you the truth. My goal is to unravel the thick web of lies you are being fed by all four branches of the US government (the.4th being mainstream… The presidential oath of office is required by Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution, which deals with the executive branch and outlines how the president is elected. In part, it reads: Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." The Congressional Oath of Office: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God
