Poem
See them marching up the street chanting See them marching up the street with anger wrapped around their belt and their faces As heavy as led, thick skin men that is hard to bend walking with heavy strides marched courageously towards the square See them marching up the street singing See them marching up the street swearing See them marching up the street argueing With a passion that runs very deep See them marching up the street with guns and bullets see them marching up the street with sticks and hachets And the silent group with its deadly spear Walk with vigour towards the open square They come from the East they journey from the west And were determined to pour out their grief in the middle of street in the burning heat they move from street to street sounding their heartbeat, grevience swirling around in their guts and their stomach wall is vibrating "We want an answer", the angry crowd chant "Give me an answer now", they bellow from afar We will trample this town before you wear the crown I stood on top of the wall watching and trying to make sence of everything as the boisterous crowd decends upon the miserable town causing the wind to swirl around I look upon their faces and I see a crowd of mixed races, love and hate anger and pain sink deeply into their eyes pleading for justice to end their miserable cry. They spread out all over the square Landing empty punches and making music with Their empty voices. I stood away from it but I was caught up in the middle of it.Smoke bellows in air, causing the people to fear but they were determined to break the barriers and express their innate desires History is running around the city oh what a pity It is carrying an awful stench and warriors are jumping over the fence they break down the walls and doors with a terrible brawl that dig out the middle of the wall. And the banging sound stir up tension that spread out all over the town They burn tires and old delapidated bridges and rip up make shift fences, draining out years of pent up anger out of the trenches. It is finally breaking out causing the people to jump and shout It breaks the silent whisper of the naked man causing him to move vigerously out of the barren land And change softly ushered in and creeps swiftly all over the globe See them marching merrily with the happy crowd
