Poem
Pain is a widow that knows my soul and heart, she plays my emotions like a tuneless harp. Trying to grip the taste of normal but it slips from my grasp and for that spilt second I lose. Then I gain insights to my own understanding and pray for my soul to be healed. The burden of lost faith clouds my way of a right path which makes running away so hard. The light glimmers afar but I can't reach it so this illusion of mercy looms over me. The heavens knows I try so hard but my imprisionment of my own vision drifts me further into the pits of the emotional blender. To the outside world I'm as strong as they come for its best that way no one needs to see the tears or hurt that sits at my feet. Simple distractions eludes the reality but somewhere under all that pretend awaits the moment of my own recovery. This is my fight my hurdle to overcome all that pain and deep emotional turmoil. I'm the hostess to my own party, all the phases I've faced has attended. There's joy she brings smiles and laughter to my face whom doesn't stay long, pain she reminds me of it all the hurt I've endured , misery the in house friend that stares me off into the distance replaying all the buried drama, saddness she brings the tears they flow from my face and heart and of course healing with time of them all but he never seems to attend. All his invites got returned so I often time wonder if he will ever grant me an audience. I have life inspite all my struggles, broken and torn is my condition but life pushes me forward. I dont have all the answers but a lot of questions. Hope and faith holds both my shoulders as I pray for release from the shackles of loose emotions. Maybe if I try hard enough I will find the way and all the answers, maybe just maybe healing will visit me. If I claim it I will earn it, mercy and change are my new invites for my next party. Thats the partnership and energy I want in my space to restore my renewed vision. Terrica Richards
